Motor with a Mission
Our family of spellers at Meraki Collective regularly express how essential it is that they are given the opportunity to gain purposeful motor skills that lead to greater autonomy and independence.
As a result of different neurological make-ups, everyday tasks and activities can be extremely difficult. Your speller knows what to do, they just can’t get their bodies to do it! We call this the body-brain disconnect (apraxia). Our motor specialist can teach you how to make those connections through our Motor With a Mission sessions.
Each session is 70 minutes.
We offer a free 30-minute consultation in which you and your speller will meet Joy Scheu to discuss what areas you would like to be supported. Based on your goals, Joy will offer a plan to support and guide you and your speller on the journey to greater autonomy and independence. This is not a one size fits all model.
